Notable Cows
We take great pride in our cow's pedigrees and their accomplishments.
Starting with our most notorious dam is our late great CC AUGUSTA QUEEN 8654 winning almost every state fair in this region on the legendary Don Cardey's show string the year we purchased her, as a calf. Not only did she have her own outstanding accomplishments and started our shorthorn herd, she also has had many notable daughters, granddaughters and yes even great granddaughters exhibited that to this day are hanging banners and our highest producing females in the herd. All calving out months before their second birthday, calving ease deluxe with weaning weights high, longevity, and stylish all around. Her granddaughter followed in her footsteps bringing home the 2023 NILE Reserve Overall Shorthorn Female as a April 21st calf.
Our next female on this list would have to be 4 SPEAR IRELANDS MADISON winning the 2019 NILE herself, the cow family this 50% plus female is from has been a part of almost every single backdrop photo we've had as plus cattle and running against clubbies. I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE. They're just flat good. Several brothers were numerous time champions in the ring and out, including ultrasound. Her full brother 4 SPEAR MADISON BLACK MAGIC is our Plus Herd Bull. This line just doesn't miss for us. Their mother is a Unstoppable X Radar cow that won her fair share of shows as a youngin'.

Herd Bulls
We are equally as proud of our herd sires accomplishments.
Our shorthorn herd bull CSF COMMOTION 914 has been a large part of our success in the past couple of years. One of his most notable calf crop wins being 4 SPEAR POINT OF COMMOTION A8E bringing home the Champion Shorthorn Plus Bull as a 5 month old calf from the 2022 NILE. We purchased CSF COMMOTION 914 from Jason Newcom of Cornerstone Farms and to say this bull is awesome would be a vast understatement. You cannot beat the style on his calves and the weaning/ yearling weights are out of this world. Not to mention, this bull has to be one of the most docile giants I've ever encountered. We've sold other son's out of him and people are raving! We have strongly considered milking him as there has been so much interest, with his calves track records I totally can see why! Stay tuned on that one.
Our second herd bull is our bred, born and raised 4 SPEAR MADISON BLACK MAGIC. We spoke about this cow line over in the female's section with his full sister. I'll reiterate though, this genetic line just has done so well for us, they're everything you could want. This bull has had multiple calves win carcass competitions as well as produced the 2022 NILE Reserve Champion Shorthorn Plus Bull. Showstopper presence, eye appeal, calving ease, low birthweight, soggy, easy keepers. For real this bull is the DEAL. As producer's we know how important it is to have a trustworthy calving ease bull for heifers. This bull has taken the headache out of calving heifer's entirely for us and gives nothing up in carcass or style in doing so!

Maverick's first calf crop in 2024 was exactly what we had expected. Calving ease, low birthweight, extreme high vigor & truly WICKED looking calves! Watch for more this coming year, we are just as excited!

We are incredibly excited looking to the future to see Eastwood's offspring in 2026, stay tuned! This bulls future is incredibly bright and we are so happy to add him into our bull battery lineup here at 4 Spear! This bull is the real deal both phenotypically and genotypically. Watch for big things coming from him, we truly believe he/his offspring is going to accomplish ALOT and pretty darn quickly too!
